![]() Happy November everyone! Thanks to good old Climate Change it's still in the 80's, though a cold snap is coming this weekend. But I write here not to talk about the weather, but as the title of this post says our interior design is complete! Well, let's clarify that. The interior design will never be "complete" as our goal is to slowly swap out items while trying REALLY hard not to achieve the bane of every Tiny House dweller ever: CLUTTER. We hope we have achieved that balance and are very happy with the results. Why did it take nearly 3 months to decorate the inside? A few reasons. First and foremost, the pandemic of course. Made both travel to get items in person and deliveries of online purchases sloooow. But also we had very specific requirements for what goes where. The Tiny Mouse House is themed of course. But it's more than just the color scheme - the colors of Mickey: Black, White and Red - on the outside. Inside we took inspiration from Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and divided our tiny house into 5 separate themed areas. It even utilizes the "hub and spoke" model of the Parks, where you return to the central hub - ie, the main theme area - before moving on to another theme. Resetting your palate, like a Disney aperitif but tasting MUCH better than "Beverly" (Epcot's former 'Club Cool' reference - see image.) Thus, with that theming goal in mind, it took a considerable amount of effort, time and money to find exactly what we were looking for. And we believe we have achieved that goal. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing pictures and videos of the inside of our home, starting with an overview and then as time goes on, we'll focus on different themes and pieces - why we chose what, where did the idea or the item come from, etc. We hope you'll enjoy the journey of discovery as much as we've enjoyed the journey of achieving our dream of the Tiny Mouse House we now call home. Stay tuned! Much more to come!
